Velingrad

Velingrad is located at 750-850m above the sea level. The summer here is warm, the winter is mild and the autumn is warm and pleasant. There are six main thermal mineral deposits examined so far- Chepino, Ludjene 1, Ludjene 2, Draginovo and Varvarski vani. The temperature of the water is warm and is suitable for everyone. The total number of mineral springs in Velingrad is about 80. The mineral waters are suitable for treatment of a wide range of diseases. There are lots of things to do and see in Velingrad here is just a few:
- Together with the numerous mineral waters Velingrad takes pride in another natural phenomenon as well - the Kleptuza. This is the biggest Karst spring in Bulgaria with debit of 1200 litres of ice-cold water per second.
- Kleptuza - the lake It's the town's pride and joy. You will find many small restaurants around it.
